This project is a handmade pop-up children’s picture book based on the story of The Little Mermaid. It tells the story of mutual redemption between a boy who grows up with a disability and a tragic fate and a truly ugly and horrifying looking mermaid. The story is inspired by a combination of appearance anxiety and an exploration of humanity and pure love.
